Fire Truck Levy Defeat Leaves Options Open

Dennison's fire chief says he's still considering options on how to move forward following the defeat of the village's fire truck levy on November 6th.

Dave McConnell says the next step for him is to sit down with village officials.

McConnell says having residents turn down the 2.5 mill levy was disappointing.

McConnell says officials have yet to devise possible options for the department.

Unofficial results show the fire truck levy was defeated by only 22 votes, with 408 votes for the levy and 430 votes against the levy.
