Chuck Miller says the board met Monday to accept or reject provisional ballots cast in the November 6th general election that had problems with them.
He says the board was not able to reach a consensus on a group of ballots cast at the wrong precinct or polling location.
Miller says the board cannot move forward with counting the county’s 1,823 provisional ballots until Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted breaks the tie, which he hopes happens yet this week.
Until the provisional ballots are counted, the outcome of two races - Tuscarawas county commissioner and 98th District state representative remain unresolved.
