Annual Christmas Tree Festival Branded a Success

The winners have been announced for this year’s Union Hospital Auxiliary Christmas Tree Festival.

The 19th annual festival, held at Warther Carvings in Dover, came to a close on Sunday, November 18th with the announcement of the People’s Choice Awards.

Carey Gardner, Community Relations Director at Union Hospital, says that of the 94 donated trees this year, trees with a snowman theme were the ones who captured the awards for favorite large tree and favorite small tree.

Gardner says the name of the tree who won in the large tree category was called Snowman’s Ball.

Gardner says the winner in the small tree category was called Frostie.

Gardener says all proceeds from the festival will go to benefit Union Hospital.

Gardner considers this year’s Christmas Tree Festival to be a success.

Gardner says it’ll be a couple of weeks before official attendance figures and financial results will be known for this year’s event.
