Emma Ramseier

Emma Ramseier, 99, of Baltic died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Walnut Hills Retirement Center at Walnut Creek. She was born January 2, 1913 and would have celebrated her 100th birthday this January. She was born In Kt. Berne, Switzerland to the late Christian and Marie (Burger) Blatter.

She was a fashion designer of hats for many years and attended Zion United Church of Christ at Baltic.

She was married May 3, 1935 to John Ramseier who died on October 22, 1992.

She is survived by her daughter Dr. Trudi (Dr. Al) McFarland of Clifton, VA., several nieces and nephews including Annamarie Straub-Blatter, Peter Blatter, and Susanne Jann-Blatter all of Kt. Zurich, Switzerland and Susie Rothenbuhler-Ramseier of Kt. Berne, Switzerland.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters Marie and Rosa and her brother Ernst who all were of Switzerland.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Zion United Church of Christ at Baltic with Rev. Dr. Monte Canfield officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery at Baltic. Friends may call on Wednesday from 10-11 AM at the church prior to services.
