Tuscarawas County Asked to Help Stuff That Bus

Area residents are being asked to help with donations for people in need.

The campaign, called Stuff That Bus, is designed to help county residents and those still affected by the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast through donations of clothing.

Dave Hayman with First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia says a trailer will be parked at the church from  10 to 6 p.m starting Friday, November 30th and running through Monday, December 3rd.

Hayman says he and other members of First Baptist Church are partnering with Berlin Christian Fellowship and Pioneer Trails bus company for this effort.

Hayman says the bus will leave for the East Coast on Tuesday, December 4th.

Hayman encourages anyone who can donate clothing for this bus trip to please do so.

Again, the Stuff That Bus event will take place Friday through Monday at First Baptist Church at 878 Commercial Avenue SW in New Philadelphia from 10:00am to 6:00pm each day.

Meanwhile, The Lions Clubs of District 13-G is collecting clothing and cleaning supplies along with heaters, flashlights, batteries and paper goods to help meet the needs of the communities affected by Hurricane Sandy in New York and New Jersey Thursday until 6:00pm at the Zimmer Warehouse in Dover at 3040 North Wooster Avenue.
