A mandatory recount will decide the outcome of the tightly contested race between Republican incumbent Al Landis and Democratic candidate Josh O’Farrell for the 98th District House seat.
Tuscarawas County Board of Elections Director Chuck Miller says the recount will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5th.
The board earlier this week certified all the provisional ballots and announced Landis as the winner by a mere 14 votes.
Unofficial results from Tuscarawas and Holmes Counties show Landis received 23,392 votes to O’Farrell’s 23,378 votes.
