Belle Everett, who will replace outgoing commissioner Jim Seldenright on January 3rd, says she never expected the electoral process to take so long.
Everett says she is already planning to hit the ground running to prepare for her new job.
Everett notes that, while the transition process can be overwhelming at times, she is excited for the future.
Ultimately, Everett says she would like to thank both the voters and her opponent.
Results released late last month from the Tuscarawas County Board of Elections show Everett defeated Republican challenger Shane Gunnoe by 423 votes.
