The event will be held at 5 pm Friday, December 7th at Tusky Valley High School in conjunction with the varsity boys’ basketball game.
The “Excellent with Distinction” rating is the highest designation a school district can receive from the Ohio Department of Education.
Superintendent Mark Murphy says this is a rare and huge accomplishment for the district.
Murphy says festivities include a free meal, activities for students of all ages, face painting, musical entertainment, and more.
And to cap off the evening, Murphy says state board of education member Deborah Cain will make a special presentation at halftime.
Murphy says there is always pressure for the district to do better and he says Tusky Valley will rise to the occasion.
Again, the Tuscarawas Valley Local School District’s “Excellent with Distinction” celebration will be held on Friday, December 7th starting at 5 p.m. at the high school.
