Kent G. Huprich, 75, of Sugarcreek died Monday, December 3, 2012 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. He was born November 6, 1937 in Fiat to the late Arthur and Margaret (Dittmar) Huprich.
Kent graduated from Baltic High School in 1956, was in the Army Reserves, worked at Baltic Brick Yard for 20 years, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ at Walnut Creek and the Ohio Farm Bureau. He raised chickens for Case Farms and was especially proud of the awards he received from Case Farms. He enjoyed helping his children with their 4-H projects, following the Hiland boys and girls basketball teams, and just sitting out with his neighbors in the evenings.
He is survived by his wife the former Faye Mutti whom he married December 25, 1965, his 4 children Charles Huprich of Sugarcreek, Rhonda Huprich of Mount Lake Terrace, Washington, Dale (Amy) Huprich of Sugarcreek and their children Kyle and Emily, Debora (Tom) Foust of Dover and their children Katelyn and Tommy, his brother Fred (June) Huprich and sisters Katharine Barthelmeh and Caroline Huprich all of Dover and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Ed Barthelmeh.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s United Church of Christ at Walnut Creek with Pastor Mark Behrendt officiating. Burial will follow in the Fiat Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday 4-7 PM at Smith-Varns Funeral Home 1018 W. Main St. Sugarcreek and Thursday from 9-10 AM at the church prior to services.
