New Superintendent for Indian Valley Prepares for New Position

The new superintendent for the Indian Valley school system is ready and eager to begin his new role.

Midvale Elementary School principal Ira Wentworth was approved as superintendent for the Indian Valley school system in March to replace the retiring Bob Fogler at the new year.

Wentworth says he has been working with Fogler for many months to make the transition to the new position as easy as possible.

When Fogler decided to retire, Wentworth says he was suggested to the Indian Valley Board of Education as a part of a transition plan.

Wentworth has two main goals he hopes to achieve when he officially inherits the superintendent’s position.

Wentworth has been in education for close to twenty years and says he first considered entering the profession because he had a great teacher.

Ira Wentworth begins as superintendent for Indian Valley Schools on January 1, 2013.
