Councilman Greg DiDonato says the wage increase of 30-cents per hour takes effect December 25th.
DiDonato says it’s been three years since the village was last able to give its employees raises.
DiDonato says the wage increase affects the village’s eleven full-time employees as well as a few part-time workers.
DiDonato says council also restructured how much it pays new full-time employees hired after December 25th.
DiDonato says he’s pleased the village was able to grant this wage increase.
Total cost of the increase to the village is about $10,000, something DiDonato calls very reasonable.
