State troopers are investigating a crash on Irish Run Road that claimed the life of a Dennison woman.
Troopers at the New Philadelphia Post of the Highway Patrol say the wreck occurred Monday afternoon when 49-year old Gilda Tinney lost control on a curve and drove off the left side of the roadway.
Troopers say Tinney then overcorrected and drove across the roadway and off the right side striking a utility pole, causing the vehicle to land on its top.
Troopers say Tinney was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
