A daughter of the late Darrell and Mary (Steiner) Swaney, Sandy was born October 23, 1948 at Dover, Ohio.
Sandy attended First Church of the Nazarene at New Philadelphia and had a love for nature. She enjoyed sitting on her patio watching animals, listening to music or just simply reading a book. She was also an avid card player.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Bianca) Ayers of Sommerdale and Mary Beth (Paul) Rucker of Canton; her grandchildren, Brittney (fiancé, Scott Kimble), Tyler and Connar Ayers and Brandon and Audrey Rucker; her sister, Barbara (George) Schwartz of New Philadelphia and two nieces, Penney Schwartz of New Philadelphia and Kelly (fiancé, Steve Walton) Schwartz of Dover.
In keeping with Sandy’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia.
Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and light a candle in remembrance of Sandy.
