Mona K. Rivera, 64 of 610 Martin Luther King Drive Newcomerstown, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at her residence. She was born Wednesday, May 26, 1948 in Zanesville to Andrew D. Simpson of Newcomerstown and the late Marguerite (Ransom) Simpson.
She worked at General Tire, RCA in Cambridge, and the ODC Nursing Home.
On Friday, May 26, 1989 she married Samuel Rivera, who died October 19, 2011. She is survived by seven sisters, Constance, Sharon, Barbara, Rebecca, Regina, and Margo Simpson, and Kim Malone; two brothers, Richard and Tyrone Simpson.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony, James, and Andrew Simpson; and one sister, Marva Kay Simpson.
Memorial services will be Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church Newcomerstown, with Pastor Patrick Boyle officiating.
