Ervin J. Schlabach



Ervin J. Schlabach, 75, of 31509 TR 227 Fresno died Monday, December 31, 2012 at his residence.  He was born November 29, 1937 in Holmes County to the late John A. and Mary (Hershberger) Schlabach.  He was a retired furniture maker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. 

He is survived by his wife the former Ida L. Miller whom he married May 22, 1958, his children Albert E. Schlabach of Massillon, Mary (David) Yoder of Fresno, Emma (Atlee) Yoder of Baltic, Viola (Wayne) Hershberger of Fresno, Edna (Gary) O’Brien of Howard, OH, Roman E. Schlabach of Mineral City, Katie (Oren) Keim of Fresno, Iva (Jonas) Stutzman Fresno, David (Martha) Schlabach of Fresno and Ada (Aden) Yoder of Baltic, 70 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren,  2 brothers Roman Schlabach of Farmerstown and John Schlabach Jr. of Fresno, 6 sisters Amanda (Joe) Coblentz of Baltic, Lizzie Keim of Mt. Hope, Verna (Emanuel) Miller of Millersburg, Mary (Eli) Raber of Farmerstown, Anna (Jonas) Miller of Farmerstown and Emma (Dan) Troyer of Charm. 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a grandchild, a brother Emanuel and 2 sisters Mabel and Sylvia.
 
Services will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 9:00 AM with Bishop Raymond J. Yoder officiating.  Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery in Crawford Twp., Coshocton County.  Friends may call anytime at the Schlabach residence.  Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
