Shirley Jane Kaser, 70, of Navarre, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center following a brief illness. She was born in Massillon on Feb. 5, 1942 to the late Gust and Elizabeth Naomi (Blaser) Froelich and married Harold L. Kaser on May 4, 1962. He died April 10, 2005. She retired in 1999 from Crown Cork and Seal and was a member of the Wilmot United Methodist Church.
She is survived by sisters, Jean (Robert) Widder and Rita (Jim) Mullet, both of Beach City and Robin (Gerald) Mayhew of North Canton; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Rosann Witham and Joy Young.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Spidell Funeral Home, 209 Chestnut Street NW, Brewster, with Pastor Scott Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. Friends may call on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home or on Saturday, one hour prior to services.
