Ruth E. "Mickey" McMillan, age 89, of North Canton, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. She was born in Dover, OH on February 22, 1923 to the late John and Verba Geyer and was a 1941 graduate of Dover High School.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of North Canton, and the North Canton Eagles. She enjoyed water color painting, was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald McMillan in 1987; granddaughter, Jennifer McMillan; great granddaughter, Flynn Scott; brother, George Geyer and sister, Margaret Price.
Survivors include her two sons, Gary (Judi) McMillan of Battle Creek, MI and Donald (Mary) McMillan of West Chester. PA; her daughter, Gayle (Allan) Scott of Miamisburg, OH; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her brother, Jack Geyer of Dover, OH.
In honoring her wishes, Ruth was cremated and services will be held on Saturday at 2pm in the chapel at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, with Pastor Mark Sherwindt officiating . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Association.
