Mary was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the St. Matthias Catholic Church of Freeport and the Fairpoint Polish Club. She loved to crochet. She enjoyed flower gardening and was an excellent cook and baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Stanley Milarcik who died on January 11, 2004. They were married November 12, 1932.
Surviving are three children: Donald (Bev) Milarcik of Naples, Florida, Charlotte Anderson of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and Cynthia (Gene) Maleski of Tippecanoe; a sister, Nancy Miller of Lafferty; a daughter-in-law Opal Milarcik of Tippecanoe; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons: Andrew John Milarcik and Michael Allen Milarcik; three sisters: Mildred Smokowicz, Angela Steele, Helen Stevens and a brother, Walter Smokowicz.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 14, 2013 in St. Matthias Catholic Church, Freeport with Father Timothy McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Koch Funeral Home, 216 S. High Street, Freeport.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department of Tippecanoe.
