Dorothea "Dot" E. Rehard, 93, formerly of Newcomerstown, died Friday, January 11, at the Meadville Medical Center in Meadville, PA. She was born on November 09, 1919 in Adams Twp. Coshocton Co., to the late Jacob and Clara (Hoffman) Stilgenbauer.
She was a graduate of West Lafayette High School. "Dot" owned and operated her own beauty shop, Dot's Beauty Shop. She also worked in the cafeteria at Newcomerstown High School. She loved
spending time on her daughter's farm in Pennsylvania, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as gardening and playing cards. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Newcomerstown.
On January 24, 1951 she married her husband, Willis, who died on May 7, 1988.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Lui) Damasceno of Meadville, PA., and her grandchildren; Luigi "Gino," Sophia, Francesca, Mario, Pietro, and Gabriela all of Meadville, PA., her brother-in-law; Lloyd Steinebrey of Sugarcreek, OH., and a sister-in-law; Joan Stilgenbauer of Oxnard,Ca;and 11 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Stilgenbauer, and her sister Evelyn Steinebrey.
Services will be Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Addy Funeral Home. Burial will be in
Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette. Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service at Addy Funeral Home.
