He was a retired Dundee Postal Carrier, and had also worked for the Baltic Brick Yard and the Uhrden Company in Sugarcreek. He was a member of the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church, a volunteer for Save-n-Serve at Millersburg and was an avid bowler.
He and his wife Virginia enjoyed traveling and had visited almost every state of the Union. He was married in 1979 to the former Virginia Lahm who died September 8, 2010.
He is survived by his son Ronald Yoder of Dover, grandson Eric Yoder of Dover, mother-in-law Annabelle Lahm of Walnut Creek and his brother Moses (Kathryn) Yoder of Millersburg.
In addition to his parents and wife he is preceded in death by his brothers Eli and Jake and his sister Katie Ann.
Memorial Celebration of Life Services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church with Pastors Don Hamsher and Dan Owolabi with graveside services being held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
