Annie DeMarco, 79, of Bergholz died Saturday evening January 12, 2013 at Aultman Hospital in Canton of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born in Wolf Run, Ohio August 3, 1933 a daughter of the late John and Mary Maras Bensko.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1960, also two brothers John and Steve Bensko; five sisters, Mary Schuler, Rosalie King, Anita Frisby, Ellen Blazwich and Katherine Denzinger.
Annie leaves behind a daughter Honchie DeMarco and Bradley Childers, and her companion of 37 years Robert "Bob" Walker. Her dear friends, John and Sue Ujcich and Rose and Joe Seck; her card club companions of 50 years, Jane Schultz, Martha Gorsuch, Fran Fleishour, Charlene Keenan, Evelyn Burrier, Betty Mazur, and June Muesegaes; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is a member of the All Saints Orthodox Church of Wolf Run where she had previously served as secretary/treasurer of the church sisterhood. Annie enjoyed traveling with Bob and her friends, playing cards, working on her farm and making sure everyone had something to eat and drink. She was an extremely hard worker and loved life. If there ever was a life of the party, it was Annie.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in All Saints Orthodox Church in Wolf Run with burial to follow in the All Saints Cemetery at Wolf Run. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Amsterdam with Parastas Services at 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Annie's name may be made to the All Saints Orthodox Church, 1395 County Road 75, Amsterdam, Ohio 43903.
