ODJFS Warns of APP Scam

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) is warning Ohioans about potentially fraudulent Smartphone applications.

Spokeswoman Angela Terez says the apps, which often cost between $1.50 and $1.99, are not approved by ODJFS or its partners.

Terez says the apps also require users to provide confidential financial information.

Terez says the agency provides Ohioans a variety of ways to check their account information, free of charge.

Ohioans can check their ODJFS account information securely, for no cost at http://ODJFSbenefits.ohio.gov or by visiting the official EPPICard and EBT card websites at https://www.eppicard.com/ohedctaclient/ andhttps://www.ebt.acs-inc.com/ebtcard/ohebt/index.jsp.
