Sam G. Yoakam



Sam G. Yoakam, 65 of Dennison and formerly of Sugarcreek died Monday, January 21, 2013 at Union Hospital.  He was born May 6, 1947 in Harden County to the late Francis Herman and Mary (McQuad) Yoakam.
 
He was employed at Belden Brick at Sugarcreek and attended New Point Community Church at Dover. 

He is survived by his wife the former Martha Yoder and his children Teresa (Jim) Raber of Dover, Joe (Dinah) Yoakam of Ragersville, Atlanta (Ray) Yoder of Stone Creek and Samantha Vanasses of Dover, 6 grandchildren Lydia, Benjamin, Jacob, Grace, Lincoln and Braden, his sister Joann (Dick) Kirby of Prospect, OH and his brother Perry Yoakam of Marion. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Shirley, his brother Bud and an infant brother. 

Services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM at New Pointe Community Church with Rev. Dwight Mason officiating.  Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at New Pointe Community Church and on Thursday from 10-  11 AM at the church prior to the services. 
Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
