Union Hospital’s February Focus is on Heart Health

The Union Hospital Community Health and Wellness Department will soon offer heart health screening events.

February is National Heart Health Month. Hospital community relations director Carey Gardner says the month begins with a special program on Friday, February 1st from 8:00am to noon at Dover Public Library.

Everyone who goes to the library during Friday’s event is encouraged to wear red as the month-long campaign is being called “Go Red”.

Along with the lapel pins, The American Heart Association will offer heart health risk assessments and present a short video called “I’m Having a Little Heart Attack”.

Gardner says there’ll be a Healthy Heart Fair on Valentine’s Day from 9:00am to noon at the OV Harvest store in New Philadelphia.

Gardner says further information on the Heart Health events is available at unionhospital.org

To learn more about this and other hospital programs, call the Union Hospital Community Health and Wellness Department at (330) 602-0779.
