Mary N. Speedy, 97, of Carrollton died Sunday, January 27, 2013 in Sunnyslope Nursing Home at Bowerston, Ohio. Born January 23, 1916 in Perry Township Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late Earnest and Minnie Wenner Patterson.
Mary was a member of the Eastern Star of Duke Center, Pennsylvania and a member of the Lutheran Church of Bradford, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by two sons, Rex (Nelda) Speedy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Jack (Karen) Speedy of Carrollton; six grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Speedy; two sons, Glenn and Roy; two sisters and seven brothers are also deceased.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Sweeney- Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Pastor Mark Statler officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery at Carrollton. Visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations in Mary's name may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
