Hobart A. "Al" Morton



Hobart A. “Al” Morton, 82 of Bolivar, died Saturday, February 2, 2013 in Hennis Care Centre at Bolivar following a 4 year battle with cancer.  Born May 2, 1930 in Londonderry, Ohio he was a son of the late John and Martha Morton. 
 
He retired in 1969 from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years then was employed as a mechanic at Baker Hi-Way Express at Dover retiring after 20 years.  He was Methodist by faith. 
 
He is survived by his wife the former June Allen whom he married January 29, 1971.  Also surviving are 7 children John Sipe of Texas, Michelle Sipe-Bolick, Regina Sipe-Short, Ruth Ann Sipe all of N. Carolina, Tina Connolly of Texas, Kenny Morton of Coshocton and Amanda Morton of Bolivar; 2 brothers John Morton, Jr. of Cambridge and Ralph Morton of Woodsfield; 2 sisters Dorothy Thomas and Isabelle Starr both of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.
 
 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers Herman and Wayne Morton.  In keeping with Al's wishes no public services will be held.  Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements.  To share a memory and sign the guest register please visit the funeral home's web site.
