Trio Sentenced on Drug Charges



A Newcomerstown man will spend 180 days in the Holmes County Jail on drug charges. 
 
27-year old Joshua Moore was sentenced Thursday by Holmes County Common Pleas Judge Robert Rinfret on two counts of Aggravated Trafficking in a Schedule II Substance. 
 
Moore will be allowed to continue working while serving his jail sentence.  He also was ordered to pay a $5,000 fine and restitution in the amount of $225.  In addition, Moore’s driver’s license was suspended until February 2014. 
 
Meanwhile, 25-year old Samantha Hendrix of Millersburg was sentenced Thursday in Holmes County Common Pleas Court on one count of Attempted Aggravated Possession of Drugs.  Hendrix received a suspended sentence of 180 days in the Holmes County Jail with the condition that she serve six months of electronically monitored house arrest and her driver’s license was suspended six months.
 
And 36-year old June Baughan of Wooster was sentenced to 24 months in the Ohio Reformatory for Women on three counts of Aggravated Trafficking in a Scheduled II substance.  She also was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine and restitution in the amount of $1,080.
