Jack R. Shriner, 78, of Carrollton passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. A son of the late Arch and Mary King Shriner, he was born April 4, 1934 in Akron, Ohio.
Jack was a Marine veteran having served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, the former Madeline Burke, whom he married January 10, 1956; three sons, Vincent (Alaina) Shriner of Alva, OK, William (Felicia) Shriner of Bay City, TX, and Arch (Sherry) Shriner of Carrollton; four daughters, Donna Boyer of Rootstown, OH, Brenda (Jim) Hogue of Shalersville, OH, Jeannie (Dave) Richards of Tallmadge, OH, and Bev Newell of Carrollton; eighteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Janice McKeown of Ravenna.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. Dan Loomis officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Carrollton. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
