The Care About Your Care program is an initiative being brought forth by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Foundation team director and senior program officer Anne Weiss says one of the reasons for this initiative is to eliminate what the group calls a “revolving door” problem in the health care system.
Weiss says the program is intended to spotlight the promising approaches being taken nationwide to insure quality hospital care.
Weiss says one of the most important things hospital patients need to do is ask questions.
Weiss says it’s also important to make sure patients are given written instructions on what they’re supposed to do after being released from the hospital.
