During council's regularly scheduled meeting Thursday night, letters were presented to the media that request the resignations of Councilman Rob Stewart, Councilman Jeff Gyurko, and Council President Mick Donato.
The anonymous typed letters, signed by the “Residents & Taxpayers of the City of Uhrichsville,” make several claims, including that Donato exhibits a “hostile attitude towards residents when they come to meetings and have questions.”
The letters also state that both Gyurko and Stewart were behind the construction of the Uhrichsville Water Park that “has drained [the] city's revenues” and that the two men promoted a possible 7.4 mill levy for the city “to see [the] city fail.”
Donato, who briefly addressed the letters prior to the end of the meeting, shared his sentiments.
Gyurko also shared his thoughts on the letters after the meeting.
When asked to share his reaction in regards to the letters, Stewart declined to comment.
