Lorretta V. Dunlap, 91, of Carrollton died Sunday evening February 17, 2013 in the Carroll Golden Age Retreat at Carrollton. Born October 20, 1921 in Hopedale, Ohio she was a daughter of the late William and Susan Mathews Shafer.

Loretta was married to Junius Dunlap on July 23, 1941 who preceded her in death on March 18, 2006.

She is survived by a son, Robert (Charlotte) Dunlap of Carrollton; four grandchildren, Steve (Heather) Dunlap, Kevin (Denise) Dunlap, Richard George Jr., Robin (Herb) Sallee; five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and a brother, Willard Shafer of Carrollton.

In addition to her husband Loretta was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda George; son-in-law, Richard George Sr.; four sisters and three brothers.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Sweeney- Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton with Rev. Mike Doak officiating. Burial will be in the Harlem Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Lorretta's name to the Church of Christ (Christian Disciples), 353 Moody Ave., Carrollton or the Golden Age Retreat, 2202 Kensington Road, Carrollton, OH 44615.
