Doris P. VanDusen, 88, of Newcomerstown, O. died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Community Hospice House, New Philadelphia. She was born December 6, 1924 in Coshocton, O. to the late Edward and Helen (Stitts) Wilkin.
She was a 1942 Newcomerstown High School graduate. She was employed at the former Lawler Pharmacy, Morgan Pharmacy, and the office of Dr. Kopes. She was a Methodist by faith. On January 9, 1943, Doris married Harold A. VanDusen, who died February 18, 1992.
She is survived by a daughter, Melanie Sue VanDusen; and a son, Michael A. VanDusen. both of Newcomerstown; a sister, Dorothea "Dode" Bluck of West Lafayettte; sister-in-law, June Miller of West Lafayette; brother-in-law, Foster VanDusen of West Lafayette; nephews, David and Rick VanDusen; niece, Renee Bates. She was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jane Miller.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 12 - 1 p.m. at Addy Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at West Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Donald Silverthorne officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Tusc. County 716
