He was a hard worker and spent 30 years woodworking at a cabinet shop. He was a member of the New Order Amish Church. He and his wife began wintering in Sarasota, Florida 22 years ago. Left to cherish his memory are his wife who celebrated 58 years of marriage just last Sunday, Sarah; children Wilma Hershberger and her husband Paul of Baltic, David Miller and his wife Elva of Sugarcreek, Martha Miller and her husband Jay Mark who live in the Ukraine, Karen Miller and her husband Willis of Millersburg, and Tim Miller and his wife Marie of Sugarcreek; siblings Christ Miller and his wife Lydia of Sugarcreek, Jacob Miller and his wife Iva of Berlin, Neal Miller and his wife Clara of Winchester. Katie Troyer and her husband Monroe of Dundee, and brother-in-law Henry Beachy and his wife Mary of Sugarcreek, grandchildren Angela, Jeffrey, Phillip, Brenda, Brian, Melody, Marilyn, Daryl, Heidi, Kevin, Sheila, Kendrick, Melissa, Michelle, Kaitlyn and Monica and 22 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Fremon is preceded in death by his granddaughter Krista and his sister Elsie.
Services will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 9:00 AM at the Marvin Wengerd residence 2593 TR 421 Sugarcreek with Bishop Roy Mast officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery in Walnut Creek Twp., Holmes County. Friends may call anytime after 6:00 PM Friday at the Marvin Wengerd Residence. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
