Ward 2 Councilman John Zucal says he plans to host a town hall meeting on Tuesday, March 5th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the Tuscarawas County Public Library in New Philadelphia.
Zucal says it is important that council maintains an open-door policy and adds that this meeting is a chance to ensure that residents are up-to-date on what is actually happening in the city.
Zucal says the idea of a town hall meeting is something that he came up with on his own.
Zucal says the meeting will be very casual and hope it gives residents an opportunity to know that their input is appreciated.
One of the issues that Zucal says he would like to address during the town hall meeting is the status of the city's fire station.
Zucal notes that he would also like to take time during the meeting to share his views on the possibility of imposing a new lodging tax in New Philadelphia.
Again, the meeting will be held Tuesday, March 5th at the Tuscarawas County Public Library, located at 121 Fair Avenue Northwest.
