Engineering Office Considering Bids for Upcoming Projects

The bids have been unsealed and the Tuscarawas County engineering office will now begin considering the candidates.

The county Board of Commissioners accepted bids through March 7th at 9:30am from area companies interested in supplying materials for upcoming engineering projects.

Engineering department office manager Martha Campbell says the companies submitted bids for projects requiring such material as limestone, asphalt, sand and gravel.

Campbell says even though the bidding amounts are known, some research needs to be done before awarding the contracts.

Campbell expects a decision to be reached by next week.

Some of the area companies who submitted bids include Newton Asphalt in Strasburg, Kimble in Dover and Stocker Sand & Gravel in Gnadenhutten.
