Betty Jane Page, 88, of Dover, passed away Friday March 8, 2013 at Aultman Hospital in Canton of injuries suffered in a tragic fall causing head trauma. Born March 11, 1925 in the Zoar Garden House she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary J. (Schilling) Cooper.
She was a resident of Dover for many years and was a former resident of Bolivar, Zoar and New Philadelphia. She was a Dover High School graduate then graduated from nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for Dr. Raymond Crawley at Dover for many years practicing OB/GYN and later retiring from nursing.
She will be remembered for her compasion and caring. Betty was a long time member of the First Church of God at Dover.
She was preceded in death by her husband John E. Page on April 10, 2012. She is survived by her son John (Wanda) Page of Clearwater, Florida and her daughter Bonnie (Dan) Judy of Kansas City, Missouri; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In keeping with Betty's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday March 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Dover Burial Park in Dover with Pastor Bob Johnston officiaitng. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Tuscarawas County Human Society. The Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar is handling the arrangements.
