Floyd T. Mercer, Jr., 48 of Jewett, OH, formerly of Georgetown, OH, died Monday at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. He was born May 8, 1964 in Bellaire, OH, a son of the late Floyd T. and Elinor Maxine Stewart Mercer, Sr.

Floyd was a disabled laborer, and attended the Hanover United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Janette Coffield Mercer; a daughter, Tonya (Justin) Utter of Harrisville; a son, Justin (Sara Bell) Mercer of Jewett; three grandchildren, Angelina, Austin and Jaydean; five sisters, Patty Kochur of Harrisville, Sandra Mansfield of Cadiz, Lawanda Thomas of Dillonvale, Marsha (Jack) Mansfield of Cadiz and Donna (Mark) Ward of St. Clairsville.

Friends may call Thursday, 1-3 and 5-7 at Clark -Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Roger Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow at Short Creek Cemetery near Georgetown.
