Margaret A. Mills



Margaret A. Mills, 91, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, March 12, 2013. Born January 24, 1922, in Canton, a daughter to the late Peter D. and Lulu (Redd) Anastis, she graduated from Canton McKinley High school with the Class of 1940.

She had been a Massillon resident for many years prior to moving to the Canton Christian Home. Margaret retired from the Timken Company after 30 years of service and had also worked for a number of years at the former O’Neil’s department store. A long-time member of Central Baptist Church, she enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Earl P. Bunting in 1965, and John A. Mills in 1980; brothers, Albert A., Peter D. “Dan” and J. Richard “Dick” Anastis, and sisters, Penelope Stosic and Mirma Palosi.

Margaret is survived by her sisters, Victoria Grznar, Vera (Ed) Boland and Barbara Cook; a sister-in-law, Sue Anastis; and scores of dear nieces and nephews who were always thought of with love by their Aunt Mag.

Funeral services are 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013, in the chapel at Forest Hill Cemetery - 4414 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton, Ohio. Pastor Randy Newcomer of Central Baptist Church will officiate. Family and friends may call Friday evening, March 15, 2013, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. The family has suggested memorial contributions in Margaret’s name be made to Central Baptist Church - 4736 Tuscarawas Sreet West, Canton, Ohio 44708 or Canton Christian Home - 2550 Cleveland Avenue, North, Canton, Ohio 44709.
