Led by River View graduate Kristin Daugherty’s 18 points, the Lady Flyers of Dayton threw a scare into 20th ranked Ohio State before bowing out in the final of the Buckeye Classic 76-61. Dayton bottled up sophomore Jantel Lavender in the first half and held a 49-39 lead with 12:44 to go before OSU rallied with a game-deciding 17-3 run. Lavender finished the game with 27 points and 11 rebounds and was named the Buckeye Classic MVP. Daugherty is in her third year at UD.
