LEAD Task Force Detectives and New Philadelphia Police have arrested a Tuscarawas County man for drug trafficking.
Detectives say 39-year-old Jeffery Ankrom of 456 5th Street in New Philadelphia was indicted by the Tuscarawas County Grand Jury on three fourth degree felony counts of Trafficking in Drugs within 1000 feet of a New Philadelphia school and two fifth degree felony counts of Trafficking in drugs for drug sales elsewhere.
Drugs involved include Alprazolam pills and Hydrocodone pills.
Ankrom became the focus of an undercover drug investigation in the fall of 2008.
Ankrom has been taken to the Tuscarawas County jail where he remains pending Arraignment in the Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Court.
