-Girls’ Basketball: Tournament brackets were figured out Sunday for the upcoming sectional gatherings. In Division IV at Claymont, top-seeded Hiland plays Toronto at 6pm on Feb. 17. Malvern plays Steubenville Catholic Central in the nightcap on the 17th. The following night begins with Newcomerstown and Tuscarawas Central Catholic meeting at 6pm and Strasburg battling Conotton Valley at 8. Division III action at Dover begins with a 6pm game between Sandy Valley and Harrison Central on Feb. 17. Buckeye Trail challenges Garaway in the 8pm encounter. On the 18th, Ridgewood and Barnesville play the 6:00 opener, with the nightcap pitting Indian Valley against top seed Tusky Valley. The Div. II sectional at Coshocton begins on the 17th with Philo and River View playing at 6pm. Dover and Claymont play for the third time this season at 7pm on the 18th. New Philadelphia awaits the Morgan vs. Maysville winner on Feb. 20 at 8pm. Fairless goes to Massillon and plays Coventry in a 2:00 game on Feb. 20.
-Boys’ Basketball: Dover is making pre-sale tickets available for Tuesday night’s game at New Philadelphia. Head to the ticket office at DHS Monday from 8am-3pm and Tuesday from 8am to 1pm to make your purchase. The Dover at New Philadelphia game will be featured on WTUZ, 99.9FM beginning at approximately 7:20 on Tuesday evening (weather permitting).
