Governor Visits New Philadelphia, Dicusses Job Growth

Governor Ted Strickland discussed job creation initiatives and the Small Business Growth Partnership, during a stop in New Philadelphia, Wednesday.
During a tour of Beech Engineering and Manufacturing, the Governor talked about what needs to be done to help create jobs to help stimulate the economy, and says one of the ways he’s trying to do that is through the Small Business Partnership.

The Governor says he is working with the Obama administration and other Federal partners to help get capital for small businesses.

New Philadelphia Mayor Mike Taylor was on hand during Wednesday’s event, and says Beech Engineering and Manufacturing is an example of what small businesses can do, to help both the community and the economy.

Governor Strickland also discussed State Issue One, which is to be on the May Primary ballot, and says that if voters approve the Issue, it will help provide over 700-million dollars through the Third Frontier Program, that can be used for future job creation.
