Paul D. Hostetler – October 29, 2017

Paul D. Hostetler 50 of Sugarcreek died Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Union Hospital in Dover.  He was born December 4, 1966 in Maryland to the late Daniel Y. and Ella (Miller) Hostetler. 

He worked with Cherry Ridge Mason for 30 years and most recently worked with Garber Plumbing.  He was a member of Grace Mennonite Church in Berlin.  He was a former member of Union Valley Fishing Club, enjoyed fishing trips to Canada and spent a lot of his free time coaching and mentoring Youth Basketball in the area.

He is survived by his siblings David (Cindy) Hostetler of Phoenix, Arizona, Celesta (R. Kent) Wengerd of Millersburg, Daniel W. Hostetler (Julie Adkins) of Dover and Eugene (Miriam) Hostetler of Germany, 5 nieces, 2 nephews, his extended family Johnny and Martha Mullet of Sugarcreek and their 4 children and his Basketball “Kids”.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10 AM at Grace Mennonite Church in Berlin with Pastor Larry Kaufman officiating.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Grace Mennonite Church. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home.
