Paul E. Sullivan, of Columbus, died Saturday, January 20, 2018, in Columbus, Ohio. Paul was born March 20, 1935 in Dennison, Ohio, the son of the late John J. Sullivan, Sr. and Esther H. (Rethage) Sullivan. He most recently resided at the St. Terese Villas in Columbus, Ohio. Paul was extremely active in the community. He served as President for two years in the Independent Residency at St. Terese. Previously, Paul lived in Wooster, Ohio and Rocky River, Ohio. Paul had been employed by the Xerox Corp. and later with Pitney Bowes Corp., where he was a Salesman and Sales Manager. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Wooster.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John J. Sullivan, Jr., James F. Sullivan and Lawrence Sullivan. He was the uncle of many nieces and nephews. Paul was a 1953 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Dennison, Ohio. He was also a graduate of The Ohio State University and had attended John Carroll University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958 in Berlin, Germany.
Father Tyron Tomson will celebrate the funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, in Immaculate Conception Church, 206 N. 1st St., Dennison, OH 44621. Interment will follow with a military committal service in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, 26 Grant St., Dennison, OH 44621, and will conclude with a 6:45 p.m. Christian Wake Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Elementary, 206 N. 1st St., Dennison, OH 44621.
