Philip G. Cummings, aka little Philip, 62, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Born December 6, 1955 in Dennison, Ohio, he was the son of Winnie (Thomas) Barlock of Las Vegas and the late Philip George Cummings.
Philip grew up in the Twin City area and was a 1974 graduate of Claymont High School. In 1986, he moved to Las Vegas where he had a long career with Caesar’s Entertainment in their accounts payable department. He was well loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Lisa (Barlock) Ratigan and her husband Kenneth Ratigan, Carla (Barlock) Rainone, Carl Barlock, II and David Brundy; nieces, Lauryn and Sidney Ratigan, and Alisa Rainone; and great nephew, Luca Rainone (14 mos. old); along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins
He was preceded in death by his father and his stepfather, Carl Barlock, as well as his grandparents, Mary & Raymond “Cavy” Cummings and Lorene & Dewey Thomas. His cousins, King Lee Kleski & Keith Thomas, also passed before him.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison, followed immediately by a graveside service, officiated by Pastor Jimmy Stull, in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charcot Marie Tooth Association at www.cmtausa.org and to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org, in lieu of flowers.
