Phyllis Allene Heil, 86, of Mineral City, Ohio, passed away on Friday October 26, 2018, at Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar. Born August 25, 1932 in Brightwood, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Russell Everett “R.E.” and Elizabeth Sarah (Enos) Roahrig. A resident of the area for much of her life, Phyllis was employed by Nationwide Insurance in Canton for over 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved caring for her home and family.
She is survived by her children, Teddi (Kenneth) Fanty, Cindy Soule and Dude (Debbie) Lukens; grandchildren, Chris Fanty, Amy (Mike) Showalter, Sara (fiancé, Mike) Clayton, Michelle (John) Wolf, Andi (Corey) Henry and Drew (Melissa) Lukens; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Jo-Ann Garabrandt and Vonnie Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by a daughter, Andi Carpenter; four brothers, Raymond, Blaine, Robert and Byron Roahrig; and five sisters, Sarah Allensworth, Virginia Porter, Joyce Clough, Katherine Clark and Vivian Roahrig.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation is planned. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hennis Care Centre Bolivar’s Hattie’s House. Phyllis’ family deeply appreciate the outstanding care given to her by Dr. Maaz Ahmed and the staff of Hattie’s House.
