Mary Alice Reporting – The first of its kind in the state, a pizza trail is now available for residents and visitors to discover locally owned restaurants.
The adventure trail is through the Tuscarawas County Convention and Visitors Bureau and never expires.
Group Tour Manager Julie Levengood explains the idea highlights eight local pizza locations over the course of time.
“This is something that families can get behind or groups of friends. They can go explore. Have fun with it. Go and visit the county.”
Passports can be picked up at participating locations, the Visitors Bureau, or printed online.
“They’re going to give you a passcode. Each location has a different word. When your passport completely filled, bring that in [to the Visitor’s Bureau] and we’re going to give you a free t-shirt.”
The eateries include Penso’s Pizza in Dover and Strasburg, Damon’s in New Philadelphia, Mary Zifer’s of Dover, Park Street, Maggoo’s, Sublime smoke, and Pangrazio’s in Dennison.
