(Friday, February 9th) Dover, Ohio – The Dover Police Department is diligently pursuing leads in an ongoing investigation following a bomb threat made at Dover High School.
Police Detective Captain, Chad Mower confirmed they responded to the building around 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon and says while nothing credible was found, it is still taken seriously.
“It is still a crime to induce panic and make such a threat,” explained Mower. “Then also from the school’s aspect, I believe it is a school violation to disrupt the school day.”
The high school was evacuated and moved to the middle school while police conducted a sweep of the building and school property.
All school activities resumed as normal today.
