Pursuit Reaches Speeds of 110 mph

(Saturday, April 21st) A Friday night pursuit ended in an arrest after crossing the county line into Coshocton.

Tuscarawas County Sheriff Deputies attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a driver known to have multiple warrants around 8:20pm on U.S. 36, in the Newcomerstown area.

Reports indicate that 32-year-old Jamie Beavers initially stopped but then fled onto Stonecreek Road, Lick Run Road, and into Coshocton County.

Speeds reached up to 110 mph but for most of the chase, speeds were around 75 mph.

Officials note that during the pursuit, Beavers went off the road striking an overhang roof support beam and damaged the homes septic system.

Coshocton Sheriff Deputies assisted by deploying spikes. Beavers was taken into custody without further incident.

<p>Warrant charges against her including corrupting another with drugs, forgery, and receiving stolen property.

Additional charges, such as felony fleeing and eluding, reckless operation, and other traffic offenses are pending.
