Mary Alice Reporting – The local area has a rich history involving railroads and an author will talk about the transportation system this Saturday.
The “Three P’s of Railroading in Tuscarawas County” will bring in retired railroad executive and Dover resident Michael Connor to explore the past, present, and potential of the rail industry.
Dover Library Director Jim Gill says the program at the library is open to anyone interested in rail lines.
He points out the history the valley has when it comes to the railroad with the Dennison Depot as a big reminder.
“And with the Roundhouse opening in the Sugarcreek area. Michael’s very passionate about the future of railroads, including passenger rail service and the potential of how that could change the county, state, and region.”
The all-ages event is free but registration is requested by calling the Dover Library at 330-343-6123.
